SBE are able to recommend hydraulic pressure test pumps / hydrotest pumps most suitable to your application. To customers within the Oil & Gas industry, whether EPCs, service providers, maintenance contractors or producers, SBE have experience in proposing test pumps correctly sized considering flow as well as pressure. The typical problems faced by most users of air driven hydrotest pumps is frequent downtime and maintenance, causing interruption to important jobworks which might be critical to production related activities. A classic problem is undersizing of pumps used in the particular applications; very often, suppliers tend to offer the smallest and lowest cost pump or test unit which meets only one parameter – that of pressure rating – amongst several other equally important criteria. The consequent of selecting a pump which is undersized pump is high cycling rates, resulting in premature wear out of the seals. Many a time, high cycling rates result in damage to other non-wear parts such as air heads, plungers, barrels, etc..

Over the years, judicious selection of not only the pumps but also of the critical accessory components such as pressure gauges, valves, fitting, tubing, connectors, chart recorders, etc. combined with the painstaking attention to detail in fabrication of tanks, frames, etc. has resulted in our customers developing a high regard for the technical competence and professional dedication of the team at Stephen Balaram Engineering.

Available are pressure test pumps and systems for pressures ranging from 1,000 psi / 70 bar to 100,000 psi / 7,000 bar and, in special instances, pressure intensifier systems to 10,000 bar / 150,000 psi
